Beijing Mass Transit Goes Contactless

A contactless-based Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system will be introduced next month in Beijing, marking the end of the 81-year-old paper public transportation ticket. The system will include the monthly pass scheme enjoyed by 1.1 million commuters in the capital. ( ChinaDaily )
