| Visitors from China Can Use Unionpay Card in Denmark |

Denish payment processor Payment Business Service (PBS) and China Unionpay have reached an agreement to enable Danish merchants to accept UnionPay cards.
The agreement applies across the Nordic region. This means that in the long term, Chinese visitors will also be able to use the Chinese card with Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic merchants who have an agreement with PBS to accept international payment cards. The World Tourism Organization predicts that the total number of Chinese tourists will rise to 100–120 million by 2020. Denmark has also become a popular destination for Chinese visitors. according to VisitDenmark, in 2007 approximately 25,000 Chinese visitors to Denmark made use of commercial accommodation, accounting for a combined tourism turnover of DKK 124 million. Almost one in two of all Chinese tourists stay at expensive 4–5 star hotels and contribute an average of DKK 2,387 each day. More News
