Citibank China is offering a new mobile banking service in partnership with Mobile Money Ventures, LLC (MMV), a leading global solutions provider of the next generation of mobile financial services.

The new service, known as Citi Mobile, is the first to be offered by an international bank in China, and will allow customers to access online banking services using their mobile phone anytime, anywhere.

Using Citi Mobile, customers can conveniently view their account summary, transfer money and browse the latest product information from most popular mobile devices with Internet browser capabilities, regardless of wireless carrier. The offering is tailored for both English and Mandarin-speaking users. In addition, to ensure that all transactions are secure, the solution utilizes two-factor authentication and no personal information will be cached within the mobile device.

Citi and MMV have previously deployed mobile banking services in Hong Kong, the United States, the Philippines and Singapore.
