China Unionpay and Indonesian IT company PT Abhimata Persada (PTAP) have officially opened merchant acceptance and handling business for CUP cards in Indonesia.

Being one of the most important overseas tourist destinations for Chinese citizens, Indonesia is visited by around 200,000 Chinese citizens every year. Before this, China Unionpay has already opened ATM acceptance and handling business of CUP cards in Citibank Indonesia through global cooperation with Citibank.

At present, merchants that have opened acceptance and handling business of CUP cards are mainly in Bali Island, Indonesia. As a world famous tourist and holiday resort, Bali Island is also one of the major overseas tourist destinations for Chinese citizens.
