Hong Kong will showcase its extensive and creative use of smart-card technology at the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China, according to Alan Siu, Deputy Secretary for Commerce & Development (Communications & Technology) of Hongkong.

Speaking at the 2009 Shanghai International Forum of Creative Industries he said expo visitors will learn how these creative smart-card applications have brought convenience and efficiency to Hong Kong people.

The expo will run May 1 to October 31 next year on the Huangpu River waterfront between Nanpu and Lupu Bridges. Hong Kong will have its own stand-alone pavilion near the China Pavilion and will organise a series of events, activities and promotions before and during the expo period.
