Go Daddy is adapting to its growing customer base in China by offering Alipay, China’s leading payment platform with more than 270 million registered users.

“We already have thousands of customers in China,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “Offering Alipay just makes doing business online with us that much easier – and that’s important to us.”

China has experienced explosive growth of Internet users and their adoption of new technologies. According to the China Internet Network Information Center, China is home to more than 384 million Internet users.

Alipay facilitates approximately five million online payments daily totaling more than $180 million in total transaction volume. What sets Alipay apart from other online payment platforms is Alipay holds funds in escrow until the product is received, making it a more popular and trusted option.

Go Daddy customers are now also able to register Chinese-character .ORG domain names. Several other Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) have been available for .ORG domains since 2005, but the addition of Chinese-character .ORG is great news for customers in this region who are now able to register .ORG domains in their language.
