Eastcompeace Smart Card Co.,Ltd. released its innovative product SIM-ATM at SIMposium Aisa 2009 in Hong Kong.

The SIM-ATM enables subscribers to purchase a SIM card, to select a preferred mobile phone number and to customize SIM applications on this 24/7 self-service machine.

Eastcompeace has been certified by China UnionPay for IC Card Embedding and Personalization. It is the first and by so far the only domestic card vendor who obtains all certifications of China UnionPay. The company’s chip card product JCES V1.0 has been approved by Visa International. JCES is a Global Platform card providing a smart card solution for multiple applications, which is compliant with visa Global Platform Card Specification version 2.1.1. and Java Card 2.2.1 Specification.

The second Asia Pacific edition of SIMposium was held at the end of September (29th & 30th) in Hong Kong. It was organized by SIMalliance in partnership with Informa Telecoms & Media. 22 different operator companies representing 950 million mobile subscribers, and delegates from 20 different countries (of which 60% from Greater China) attended over the two days to debate, discuss and network with the whole mobile services eco-system.
