VeriFone said Bank of China (BOC) has placed an order for almost 16,000 VeriFone payment solutions that will be delivered in 2008. The company has also announced a contract by China Construction Bank (CCB) for 10,000 or more countertop and wireless payment systems from the Vx Solutions and NURIT product lines.
The BOC’s order includes the GPRS-enabled Vx 610, the CDMA-enabled NURIT 8000, the countertop NURIT 2930 incorporating a dial up modem and sprocket printer.
CCB will deploy an array of PCI-PED and EMV approved VeriFone systems, including VeriFone’s wireless NURIT 8000 and countertop Vx 510 with thermal printer and NURIT 2930 with sprocket printer solutions, to suit varied merchant needs.
